Speed is essential in searching for bugs. Many modern bugs attempt to make themselves difficult to find by minimising the time spent transmitting. To find them you need a fast detector that can respond in the short time such transmitters are active.

As well as being capable of covering the radio spectrum from 0-5GHz in 5 seconds an automatic strong signal search mode can tune Scanlock to a signal in a fraction of a second
